Staff Interior Designer - Mission Critical | Burns & McDonnell

The Interior Designer will prepare designs, edit specifications, aid in conceptual estimation, support construction efforts with construction administration, and maintain an in‑office material library for interior work, repair, and/or renovation of government, airport, data centers, healthcare, and other commercial related facilities. In this role, the Designer will create, design, and implement interior concepts and space planning strategies to ensure fluidity through the completion of projects. Job Duties Prepare designs, quantity calculations, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings for the interior scope and specifications of government, airport, data centers, healthcare, and other commercial related facilities. Gather, organize, and compile data; develop initial design concepts and plans; and assist with the preparation of internal and external design plans, presentations, and renderings. Lead construction administration activities, including site visits, review of schedules, and review of construction submittals and RFIs to formulate responses.
