Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range$65,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yrAdditional compensation typesAnnual BonusCOMPANYStructa – North Shore of Chicago, IL – Suburban OfficeJOB TITLEDesign ConsultantJOB DESCRIPTIONAs the Project Design Consultant for Structa, you will be primarily responsible for assisting new home buyers in the company’s selections process, and will meet with buyers, guide them through the process, and coordinate the execution of the selections with the project manager and general contractor.This process includes layout and design of rough framing, plumbing and electrical options and providing design assistance to the buyers in their selection of finish material options for their new home from our catalog of upgrade options.You will be responsible for responding to buyer and general contractor requests for information, preparing, approving, and distributing option selections packages, and inspecting units under construction for compliance.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESSchedule and conduct in-person selection consultations with buyersPrepare rough framing, plumbing and electrical selections drawings in AutoCADPrepare selections spreadsheets and calculate upgrade pricing in ExcelProvide buyers with product information, available upgrade options, and pricing informationReview units during construction to ensure accuracy with the selections madeAssist buyers with decision making including their needs, wants and budgetProvide buyers with assistance in their selections using good design practicesManage the selections change order process and track financial performance of the programParticipate in the curation of the selections offerings of the companyAssist in designing model homes and sales centers for the companyEstablish and maintain positive customer relationships including setting proper expectations and following through on established expectationsSKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCEMinimum of 2 years of prior experience involving residential real estate development, interior design, construction, architecture, or related project managementMust be highly organized and have strong interpersonal, written and communication skillsProficiency using AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel are requiredExperience in other programs such as Revit, Illustrator or Photoshop is a plusABOUT THE COMPANYStructa is an experienced residential developer building high-quality real estate developments that exceed expectations and provide exceptional value for our clients.
