This role will collaborate with other designers and managers in the studio to maintain the firm design principles. This role will lead the development of effective and innovative designs utilizing the firms design approach and innovation tools as well as participate in the business development of the Interiors Studio in Boston. Fosters design excellence across all studio projectsImplements the firm's design process and advocates for utilizing innovation tools to meet design and brand objectivesParticipates in business development by presenting designs to clients and consistently demonstrates excellent presentation skillsOversees the work of the Project DesignersDemonstrates knowledge of resources and materials and their applicationsDirects the production of design materials that meet project objectives, including functional concepts, images, schedules and budgetsCultivates success through high level design and planning, facility requirements analysis, conceptual design, systems integration, and teamworkPossesses excellent programming and strategic planning skillsPromotes technical and professional excellence throughout the teamMaintains knowledge regarding industry trends, professional practice, regulatory and construction practice and issuesRecognizes needs and seeks out solutions for use of new technologies relating to project production and communicationsMentors and provides guidance to project team to achieve objectivesMentors team members and supports individual development by providing coaching, feedback and reinforcementBuilds the firm’s practice by contributing to industry events This role is an in-office positionDegree from a CIDA accredited Interior Design program or accredited Architectural program or equivalentProfessional registration required15+ years in the design industry with a demonstrated display of successfully designed projects in the workplace environment with a track record of consistently creating and leading teams producing high quality work; record of published design work preferredExperience with business development pursuits Familiarity with current global design trends in workplace interiorsHas pursued design awards and publications of work for which they were primary playersDemonstrated leader, collaborator and mentor Ongoing participation in outside industry associationsProficient with Revit, Word, Excel and other graphics-related programs.
