Thrive Architects is seeking a Interior Designer / Studio Lead ideally with at least eight years of professional interior design experience. Lead interior design projects from programming and concept development through documentation, bidding, and constructionEstablish the overall design vision, material palette, furnishings, lighting, finishes, and experiential character of each projectCollaborate with Thrive’s architectural teams to create fully integrated design solutionsDevelop space plans, finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, details, specifications, and presentation materialsSelect and specify fixtures, equipment, finishes, and accessoriesCreate compelling client presentations and communicate design concepts clearlyManage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, consultants, and client expectationsMentor emerging designers and help establish consistent interior design standards and processesParticipate in client development, interviews, proposals, and relationship-buildingIdentify new opportunities and contribute to the strategic growth of Thrive’s interior design practiceRemain current with materials, products, trends, and emerging design technologiesThe following skills and traits are ideal for consideration: Eight or more years of professional interior design experience is preferredBachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related fieldStrong portfolio demonstrating sophisticated design thinking and successful built workExperience leading projects and working directly with clientsBroad project experience, ideally including senior living, commercial, workplace, residential, hospitality, and/or experiential environmentsStrong knowledge of interior construction, materials, furnishings, specifications, detailing, and applicable building codesProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or bothAdobe Creative Suite proficiency, optionalSketchUp or comparable three-dimensional modeling experienceStrong design visualization and presentation abilitiesExcellent communication, organization, and leadership skillsAbility to balance creativity with budgets, schedules, constructability, and client objectivesCollaborative, accountable, and entrepreneurial mindsetPassion for architecture and interior designAny of the following skills will give preference to a candidate for consideration: NCIDQ certification or progress toward certificationWisconsin Registered Interior Designer credentialExperience mentoring or supervising other design professionalsExperience establishing interior design standards, processes, and material librariesBusiness development, marketing, or client relationship experienceExperience with computer rendering and visualization programsGraphic design or experiential design experiencePrevious experience working within an integrated architecture and interior design practiceProfessional involvement in IIDA, ASID, or similar industry organizationsCOMPANY CORE VALUES:
