Teaching Assistant Professor of Interior Architecture and Design

**Overview:** The University of Arkansas, Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design, is seeking a Teaching Assistant Professor of Interior Architecture and Design for two open positions. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at the undergraduate level, provide service to the department, school, university, and community, and demonstrate a commitment to interior architecture and design education and professional practice. **Responsibilities:** * Teach at the undergraduate level, including leading studio and classroom instruction, creating curriculum material, constructing syllabi, assessing student knowledge and skills, advising students, and providing other scholastic achievement guidance * Provide service to the department, school, university, and community * Demonstrate a commitment to interior architecture and design education and professional practice **Qualifications:** * Terminal graduate degree in interior design/interior architecture or design-related discipline from an accredited institution of higher education * Excellent body of creative design work * Demonstrated excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills * Preferred qualifications include one or more degrees in interior design/interior architecture, demonstrated ability to employ current best teaching practices, and experience with emerging technologies **Benefits:** * Competitive and commensurate with education and experience * University contributions to health, dental, life and disability insurance * Tuition waivers for employees and their families * 12 official holidays * Immediate leave accrual * Choice of retirement programs with university contributions ranging from 5 to 10% of employee salary * Vibrant work environment and a workplace culture that promotes a healthy work-life balance
