The Vice President of Interior Design Strategy is a crucial executive leadership role focused on defining the creative vision of the firm while fostering strategic growth and operational excellence. This leader will combine vision with discipline, guiding design direction, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-profile projects. You will manage and mentor senior design leaders, such as Design Directors, offering guidance and accountability across the design team, ultimately elevating our brand and reinforcing Denton House's status in luxury design.

What You'll Do

Leadership & Strategy

Define and advocate for the firm's interior design vision aligned with business objectives Curate specialized studio teams to enhance our residential, hospitality, and commercial practices with a bespoke, design-centric approach Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term growth strategies and market positioning Work closely with architecture and planning leaders to ensure seamless integration Business Development & Client Leadership

Drive new business initiatives and contribute to revenue growth Cultivate and maintain relationships with high-net-worth clients, developers, and strategic partners Represent the firm at senior levels during client presentations and industry events Project Oversight & Operations

Oversee all projects from conception to completion, ensuring design excellence and financial success Lead contract strategy, fee structures, and risk management initiatives Manage forecasting, billing, and project profitability in collaboration with finance Align team structures and staffing with project needs and growth objectives Ensure adherence to the highest standards of quality and compliance Team Leadership & Culture

Inspire and mentor Design Directors and senior team members Encourage a culture of design excellence, accountability, and collaboration Champion talent development to build a strong, scalable team for future growth What You Bring

Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field NCIDQ certification preferred 10+ years in luxury residential, hospitality, and/or commercial design 5+ years in a senior leadership role within a design-driven organization Demonstrated success managing complex, high-profile projects and multidisciplinary teams Skills & Expertise

Exceptional client engagement and business development skills Strong financial acumen regarding forecasting, billing, and overall profitability In-depth knowledge of design delivery, contracts, and fee structures Proficiency in Revit/CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office preferred Familiarity with building codes and sustainability standards (LEED, WELL) preferred Working Conditions & Travel
