Visiting Asst. Professor of Interior Design

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in the Interior Design program at Chaminade University of Honolulu. Ph.D. or Doctorate in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent record of teaching in a variety of formats, including in-person, online, and hybrid modalities Demonstrated potential for scholarly research and publication Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Established design portfolio, excellent teaching skills, and a successful research agenda Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion At least five years of experience teaching in a university or college setting Experience developing online and hybrid Interior Design courses and curriculum Experience in Interior Design research, studio teaching, and/or professional practice Experience teaching and working with Hawai‘i and Pacific Island communities. Other Requirements: This is a full-time, exempt position. Must be willing and able to work occasional nights and weekends, and a varying schedule Performs similar, comparable, or related duties as may be assigned or required Observes all safety and health regulations and works in accordance with safe work procedures and policies of the University.
