Warehouse Manager / Furniture Mover

Multi faceted Interior Design Studio is seeking a Warehouse Manager / Furniture Mover to manage the furniture warehouse and conduct the furniture moving for home staging and interior design projects. Our unique environment focuses on managing the daily logistics of furniture moves, in and out of our facility, and our client’s homes. Job Description: Manages and organizes the furniture warehouse; develops strategies and best practices for effectively storing furniture Tracks and manages furniture inventory, keeping up to date on what is moving in and moving out daily Operates company van to travel to and from job sites to implement furniture moves and project installations Conducts effective furniture moving strategies to move furniture in and out of residential and commercial properties Guides other moving associates on warehouse and furniture moving processes and procedures Conducts ongoing maintenance and repairs on furniture Job Requirements: At least two years furniture moving experience At least one year experience as a lead furniture mover At least six months of inventory management experience At least six months of project management or management experience Attention to detail and organization skills Proven relationship building with clients and vendors; positive and professional demeanor and attitude Proven understanding of basic hand tool use and furniture repair Proficient in MS Word and Internet proficiency Personal cell phone required to make and accept business related calls, texts, and e-mails Must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license for company vehicle driving policies Ability to Lift 75lbs+ repeatedly Hours / Days / Schedule: The position is full time, some weeks could be four days a week 10 hours per day, some weeks could be five days a week, 8 hours per day Salary / Wage / Benefits: Hourly wage starts at $21.50 per hour with an opportunity for a wage increase after the first six months Benefits include employee discount on furniture, mileage reimbursement for travel to and from job sites, sick leave, and family medical leave.
