Art Consultant

We’re looking for a full time, experienced Art Consultant with extensive knowledge of the hospitality and / or corporate art worlds. You will be working directly with our clients (top interior design and architecture firms) as the first line of contact on all assigned projects. This role requires creativity, communication, and organization to keep up in our fast paced environment! A Day in the Life: \\- Client call to discuss a new property, flush out the design narrative and project scope \\- Source and contact artists local to the property \\- Brainstorm artwork concepts (sculptural and 2D) with the art team regarding artwork to create in house \\- Create an art proposal specific and custom to the property including everything from outside artists to in house artwork; framed prints, sculptural works, historical documents, vintage objects and ephemera \\- Design artwork specifications, cost and quote artwork selections (in conjunction with our project management and fabrication teams) \\- Manage multiple concurrent projects through procurement and production, internally and with external vendors \\- Manage delivery and (occasionally) installation Duties & Responsibilities: \\- Curate artwork collections \\- Work directly with clients to understand design narratives and conceive art concepts \\- Source new artists, artworks, and ideas \\- Maintain artist communication and manage artist contracts \\- Work with our art department to conceive and create artwork and design solutions \\- Prepare and present inspiring proposals \\- Direct and manage artist commissions \\- Collaborate with our art, design, project management, and fabrication teams to facilitate project solutions \\- Establish costs and maintain budgets and timelines from proposal through installation \\- Attend trade shows, industry events to meet / prospect new clients Qualifications & Requirements: \\- 3+ years experience as a professional hospitality, corporate art consultant or hospitality interior designer \\- Excellent computer skills: MS Office (Excel!
