We are a residential design-build contractor in Santa Cruz, California looking for a Design Intern or Junior Designer to add to our in-house team. This is a part time position that has the potential to become full time. We are a small team and there is potential for growth within the company for the right person. We need someone who can work independently, derives satisfaction from organization, and can proactively create organizational systems when necessary. Responsibilities would likely develop over time and would initially include: -Drafting for new and existing projects, making updates to plans based off meeting notes -Create, improve, and maintain project specific templates -Taking and recording site measurements -Communicating with local regulatory agencies -Managing sample inventory in design showroom -Assemble design presentations for clients -Assist with product ordering Relevant skills and experience would ideally include: -Coursework or Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design a plus -Experience working with Revit or similar 3D Architectural Design software a plus -Experience with or knowledge of residential construction methods a plus -Great communication skills -We are willing to consider a candidate who does not have this experience but is motivated to learn Please send us a resume and the answers to the following questions as your application: -Please describe any experience you have that would be relevant to this position.
